Selection of antireflection film of filter

Borisun Optics provides antireflection coating service for optical elements, which can greatly improve optical efficiency by increasing transmission. Most antireflection coatings are very durable and resistant to physical and environmental damage. Although antireflection coatings can significantly improve the performance of optical systems, if coatings are used at wavelengths outside the design wavelength range, the system performance will be significantly reduced.

When the light passes through the uncoated glass substrate, about 4% of the light at each interface will be reflected. This is the result of the total transmission of only 92% of the incident light. The antireflection film applied on each surface will increase the luminous flux of the system and reduce the harm caused by the retroreflection through the system (ghost). Antireflective coatings are particularly important if the system contains many transmission optics. In addition, many low illumination optical systems use antireflection film optics to effectively utilize light. If the transmissivity of the window piece without coating is 95%, the transmissivity of the window piece after antireflection coating will be increased to more than 99%.

Magnesium fluoride: The simplest antireflection film is to use a quarter wavelength of magnesium fluoride, centered at 550 nm (refractive index is 1.38, at 550 nm). Magnesium fluoride film broadband is an ideal choice for bandwidth use, but its different results depend on the type of glass involved.

VIS 0 ° and VIS 45 °: VIS 0 ° (0 ° incidence angle) and VIS 45 ° (45 ° incidence angle) provide optimized transmission for 425 – 675nm, reducing the average transmission by 0.4% and 0.75% respectively. VIS 0 ° antireflection film exceeds magnesium fluoride in visual applications.

VIS-NIR: Our visible/near-infrared broadband antireflection film has been specially optimized to produce the maximum transmission rate (>99%) in near-infrared.

T-NIR: Our telecom/near-infrared is a special broadband antireflection film for popular wavelengths from 1200 to 1600 nm.

UV-AR and UV-VIS: Ultraviolet film is applicable to our ultraviolet fused quartz lens and ultraviolet fused quartz window plate, which increase the film performance in the ultraviolet region.

NIR I and NIR II: Our near-infrared I and near-infrared II broadband antireflection coatings provide excellent performance in near-infrared wavelengths of common optical fibers, laser diode modules, and LED lamps.

SWIR: We designed this short wave infrared (SWIR) broadband antireflection film to improve the transmittance of 900-1700nm band. Common SWIR applications include electronic components and solar cell detection, monitoring, or anti-counterfeiting.
