Barium Fluoride Windows
Barium fluoride BaF2 crystal has a wide range of light transmittance, and has good light transmittance in the wavelength range of 0.13μm~14µm. The performance of single crystal and polycrystalline is basically the same, and it is difficult to produce single crystal, so the price of single crystal is 1 times that of polycrystalline. Barium fluoride crystal is an ideal material for making various optical windows, prisms, lenses and other optical components. It can be used for infrared distribution cabinet windows, Fourier gas analysis windows, oil and gas detection, high-power lasers, optical instruments, etc. The diameter range of calcium fluoride lens or window is: 5~150mm, the surface accuracy can usually reach 40/20, and the surface flatness can reach: λ/10@633nm (the ratio of the thickness to the diameter of the lens must meet the processing ratio).
Barium fluoride planar windows are parallel plane plates, usually used as protective films for sub-sensors or external environmental detectors. Barium fluoride (BaF2) is suitable for infrared applications.
