Hollow Roof Prism Reflector
Hollow Roof Prism Mirrors consist of two UV fused silica right angle prism mirrors with the bevel coated with protected aluminum, UV enhanced aluminum, protected silver, ultrafast enhanced silver, protected gold or unprotected gold. The two coated surfaces form a dihedral angle of 90º ± 10 arcsec.
These hollow roof prism reflectors are used to reflect light incident from the outside on the oblique face of the prism. In applications where standard prisms typically experience refraction, chromatic aberration, material absorption or front surface reflection, these prism reflectors are ideal for use as retroreflectors. Examples of such applications include interferometry or setting up optical delay lines. If the incident plane is perpendicular to the intersection line of the two reflecting surfaces (the line formed by the 90° combination of the reflectors), the incident light is reflected by 180°.
We offer square unmounted hollow roof prismatic reflectors with base dimensions of 1.00″ x 1.00″, 25.4*25.4mm
