  • The calcium fluoride biconvex lens has high transmittance within the wavelength range of 180nm-8μm (especially in the wavelength range of 350nm-7μm, the transmittance exceeds 90%) and low refractive index (for the working wavelength range of 180nm to 8.0μm, the refractive index variation range is 1.35 to 1.51). Therefore, it has high transmission even without coating.
  • It is often used as a window and lens of spectrometer, and also in thermal imaging system. In addition, because of its high laser damage threshold, it has a good application in excimer lasers. Calcium fluoride has higher hardness than barium fluoride, magnesium fluoride and other similar substances
