A neutral density filter (referred to as a density filter) is a filter that attenuates light intensity without altering the energy distribution of the spectrum. Fixed neutral density filters can uniformly attenuate light intensity in a wide spectral range, and are coated with durable metal film layers on the surface. These filters can be applied in fields such as natural light and laser.
Fixed density filters are divided into absorption and reflection type density sheets and low reflection type density sheets (ND mirrors), which exhibit neutral attenuation of light over a wide spectral range. They are also particularly suitable for calibration of optical systems. Special size, density, and wavelength density sheets can be customized.
