Infrared Detection Filters
Infrared detection filter is a spectral gating element in infrared detection systems, which relies on material intrinsic absorption or multi-layer dielectric film interference to only allow the target infrared band to pass through, block visible light, stray light, and irrelevant infrared radiation, reduce detector noise, and improve detection signal-to-noise ratio. It is widely used in gas detection, infrared temperature measurement, thermal imaging, flame monitoring, and optical analysis equipment.
Infrared band division
1. Near infrared NIR: 0.75-3 μ m (750nm-3000nm)
Remote control, photoelectric sensing, blood oxygen, laser detection, spectral analysis
2. Mid infrared MWIR: 3-5 μ m (atmospheric window, gas characteristic absorption zone)
CO ₂ 、CO、 Methane VOC、 Flame detection and smoke monitoring
3. Far infrared LWIR: 8-14 μ m (room temperature object thermal radiation window)
Human body temperature measurement, industrial infrared temperature measurement, thermal imaging instrument
Narrowband pass filter: CO ₂: 4.26 μ m; CO:4.67 μm; CH₄:3.3 μm; SO₂:7.35 μm
Broadband pass filter: 8-14 μ m temperature measurement, 3-5 μ m flame monitoring
Long wave pass filter 8 μ m is commonly used as a pre filter for far-infrared temperature measurement
Short wave pass filters are commonly used in visible light cameras to eliminate infrared interference
