The 45° polarizing beam splitter uses an ultraviolet fused silica substrate and is a polarizing optical element that can be used to separate different polarization components (p-ray and s-ray) of incident light, transmitting p-ray and reflecting s-ray respectively. At 45° incident angle, the extinction ratio Tp/Ts at the transmission end is >200:1, and changes in the incident angle will cause a decrease in the extinction ratio.

  • Primarily used to separate S-polarization and P-polarization;
  • Incident at a 45° angle, the reflected light forms a 90° angle with the incident light;
  • Suitable for high power applications.
