A corner cube is a three-sided right-angle prism that reflects any light or beam that reaches the prism face, regardless of the prism’s orientation. A reflector will only reflect light at a certain angle of incidence. Therefore, corner cube retroreflectors can be used in situations where precise alignment is difficult and time-consuming.
This product has three total internal reflections, so precise alignment is possible even at relatively large angles of incidence. UV Fused Silica Corner Cube Retroreflectors are made of UV fused quartz, which has low thermal expansion and good transmission in the UV, visible and NIR ranges.
