Cassegrain System

INOUIRY
The Cassegrain system is a double-mirror optical system consisting of a concave primary mirror and a convex secondary mirror. It has the characteristics of compact structure and no chromatic aberration. It is widely used in astronomical telescopes and infrared receiving systems.
The primary mirror is usually a parabolic concave mirror, and the secondary mirror is a hyperbolic convex mirror, and the two are symmetrically arranged on the optical axis.
The light is reflected by the primary mirror to the secondary mirror, and then focused through the hole in the center of the primary mirror to form a folded light path.
